- Yuriko's Defeat

Another image that hopefully, tells its own story.

I originally created the character Hana Yuriko back in 1996 for MultiPlayer BattleTech back when it was a free game on AOL. She's since evolved from a player handle to a fully fleshed out character with a rich history spanning over 50 years.

This scene shows one of the less...Glorious moments she's been through.

Software used:
trueSpace
3D Studio Max
Vue
Photoshop

-edit-
Added the Recruiting poster from Field Manual: DCMS. Seems strangely fitting. If you can't read it, it says,

HONOR THE DRAGON
There is no greater honor
than to serve the Dragon
as his sword and shield;
Answer the call of
Bushido.

CPLT-K2 Catapult. You can see it in this image as well. :thumb29789764:

This is my absolute favorite of all your B'Tech pics. You have captured perfectly the feeling of not only defeat but also the loss of now being (at least temporarily) dispossed. I love the detail in the wound on the Cat' as well as on poor Yuriko herself. I also have to agree about the recruiting poster. It ads a nice kick to the ribs while she's down feel to it. ;-)

BTW, did she end up being caught by the Ghost Bear in the Battle Armor and become a bondswoman?

If you are using an A\C 20 you only need to hit the target once. If the target is still standing you aughtta be somewhere else anyway.

She was. Although it was a rough indoctrination (since she resisted), she kept her Samurai spirit and managed to return to Kuritan space after a few years of captivity and a harrowing run between worlds. Further trials awaited her in her homeland as she tried to regain lost power and influence, and prove that she was indeed, still very much alive.

I see that you are very much alive.

I'm not hard to find if you know where to look!
