What to do...

So, now that I've completed another personal model (the USS Reliant), I have no idea what to do with it. Or any of my more recent models for that matter. Really, there's just so much you can do with a starship that I feel like it's all been done. That's not a bad thing, mind. I could do all sorts of space scenes and stick a ship or two in there. I've done it before, in fact. Painting a 2D scene in photoshop and using it as a background for my 3D models. A nice blend of my talents and skills. Maybe animations? Not with this old PC setup. And yeah, real old by computer standards. The CPU I have was released in 2012. My graphics card is a GeForce 1070 in a time when we're seeing 4080s start to become more common. It's taken up to 15 minutes to render out a single still image depending on the settings! And that's just for a single orthographic view! I could build a new model. But I don't have any artistic inspiration at the moment. So, what to do...

Now that I've pretty much completed the new U.S.S. Enterprise model, CBS released a bunch of promos showing a new version of the starship. Not much had changed overall, but there is a noticeable difference between the version we saw in Discovery and the one in the upcoming Strange New Worlds. That being the saucer windows. While the DISCO version has windows that somewhat resemble the classic TOS design with DISCO design aesthetic, the SNW version replaces those for a row of windows going along the top of the leading edge of the saucer. Those new windows would be an interesting change to add were I to build a version of the Miranda-class in that style. Another way to differentiate it from the Enterprise. Especially since most of the rear of the saucer would be covered by the secondary hull. Now, should I name that new ship model the Miranda, or the Reliant? Really the only difference in the end would be the name and registry numbers. BUT! That'll have to be for another time. I have

Woke up with a strange idea: Chili pepper Pokémon. I'm sure the idea has been done before considering how long the franchise has been around (since 1996!). Anyway, here's the idea. Stage One: Jala - Grass-type that looks like a small, green pod with big, cute eyes. Its attitude is a little sweet and a little spicy. It has a white flower that resembles a hat. Stage Two: Peño - Grass/poison? type. A larger yellow pod with two large leaves coming out of its stem. Its eyes are a bit narrower in design. Still sweet, but a lot more heat. Stage Three: Chilpotle - Grass/Fire-type (plenty of Fakemon have this combo). A chili plant grown out of a large red pod with a pair of white flowers that resembles its hands. it has glowing red eyes and wisps of smoke coming out of its jagged mouth. Bonus Round! Jolokia - Ghost/Fire-type. The ghost chili Pokémon. A purple pod wreathed in ethereal flames. It has wide, expressive eyes that seem to be crying and an ever-present sweat drop clinging to
